fic: Prometheus 2/2

It's amusing (and awesome!) that I managed to coalesce a semester of fancy college learning for a crossovery superhero fic. Just wait 'til I write the one based on *this* semester's courses. There could be Shakespearean use of subplot and definitely some reworking of that comitatus thing. Totally. Heh.

You know, the reason I could never run with the whole superclonehigh idea was that I had *no idea* what Lex would teach them down there so it's good to see someone did. *g*

And you get what I see as the most important thing about Conner - his potential. Lex does, too. I'm not sure about Clark. I'm *never* sure about Clark when it comes to Conner, but at least here I can kinda understand his perspective more...or at least where his persepctive is clouded.

"I don't dance," he says. "You do the talking, you get right to it or I'm gone. Okay?"

OMG Warren! I have to watch Sky High again tonight because you made me crush on him omgsobad and I love his Conner!love. They must have continued adventures, right? I mean, after your next semester and all. *smiles winningly*

Ah, the beauty of killing characters in a clone 'verse. I *knew* Alicia would be back-ish. Tina couldn't survive without her. (But, dude, the line about her trying to kill Conner? *clutches chest* We're going to have to go back to characters with different names. Heh.)So, ( ... )

Well, you know, I'd just done the Western Civ rotation, for one thing, but I figured it worked with the whole SV tradition of Luthor mini-lessons from (western) history. I knew it would mean some shifting of characterization for Conner, but I'm glad you think I got the basic outline okay. Phew.

Yeah, if only Clark would have *some* defined stance on Conner, I would be happy. That's the thing I've always hated about their relationship. Sometimes he opens up to him and I'm always left wondering if it's just a "Superman" thing to do, or how he really feels about him...plus, as you know, I had a few issues about certain Clark backstory problems to get out of my system.
