Sorry it's taken so long to say an actual thanks. RL put a damper on things this past week. The drama at work has just been unreal. I thought I had put all that behind me when I left state service, but nooooo. Instead it's politics x100. All of this for a P/T job. I am still looking for a F/T job- something as got to crack, before I do. :)

The conversation at the balcony was heart-tugging. John took a brief moment to share a highly emotional piece of his life where his mom was at his side all the way to get him back on track. Indomitable spirit. This was a touching flashback.

I can just imagine Samantha beaming and watching McKay's reactions after sharing the news with the rest of the team. Jackson wasn't even spared. Lolz.

I liked how surprised McKay was when he found Caldwell had a doctorate degree. :)

I was looking for a fic that will shush that Mensa crack and I'm glad to have read this. :)

Thank you for your kind words. You can't believe how I struggled with it. I was still unhappy with a couple of specific aspects, but figured Karri had been waiting too long already & if I didn't post it now, it wouldn't ever be posted.

As for the Mensa stuff, there is a Mensa AU. I think there is even a comm.

Great fic! I knew all that teasing would lead to something. Liked the semi-fallout between friends; McKay doesn't always realize what he's saying. However, the one person who could understand such inner turmoil would be Rodney. Even if he wouldn't admit it.

Sheppard's backstory was a nice touch too. Thanks for sharing!

No, McKay doesn't think does he? Just says what he thinks without regard to those around him. It is what we love about him; we wish we could do it more often (not think of other's feelings & just say what we are thinking, what we mean). I think the world would be a much less complicated place if we could do the same.
