Actually, this was a DW episode like *I* imagine it. Perfect. A little bit into the past, some famous person, some mystery in that person's life, a little turn that Doctor makes in that person's life that makes a difference, and the Doctor (and Donna in this case) are the only ones who know the truth about that famous person and that mystery. They MADE it happen, after all.
Oh, and I didn't guess who the murderer was until it was revealed, either, I've never been any good at that!

But then, the gentleman in the wheelchair also looked horribly innocent. Actually, the only one who didn't look innocent was the gay son, so OBVIOUSLY having an affair with the servant. Gosh, they were all over each other all the time! Hehehe, kinda cute.
So all in all, yeah, that was a very good episode of DW, I liked it.

Oooh, so you're one of those! A fan of the historicals! I do love me some of those as well but I wouldn't want it to be like that every week, what with having the whole universe to explore...! Yeah, that's the SciFi & alien planet fan speaking. *L*
Although, actually, I think it's just smashing to have a show which basically changes its format every other week.

Yeah, haha! And he WAS absolutely innocent. I loved it when he got up and revealed he could actually walk... and outed himself. XD

Yeah, the son, haha... "I was alone. All by myself. In complete solitude. As always, all alone... uhm, yes."

I was all 'D:' when he got killed. Poor woman, though, she's basically lost two children in one day!

I knew he could walk the moment I saw him in that weelchair, though! It was SO obvious!

Yeah, actually, it was a real shame he got killed. ANd the look on his lover's face! You just get to see that they were actually in love, not just fuck buddies.

And I also came to love Donna shouting "DOCTOR!" pretty much in every episode, she does it so great, I believe her every time! Oh, and my fav part is:
"It's a *giant* *wasp*!"
"What do you mean a giant wasp?"
"I mean WASP that's GIANT!"

Plus, I adore the yet another one charade game with the Doctor! The first one was with Rose's mother, and she was as great at it!
And Donna going all "So *she*/*he* is the murderer?" all the time during the explaining, she's so adorable.
And:
"They're British. They *carry on*."

Damn, see, I didn't even see that one coming. *lol*

Hah, you are right, she does have a talent for shouting 'DOCTAH!' in just the right way! Just goes to prove how well she really works as a companion, because not all of them could even do that... XD *remembers the 80s and Peri's American accent ('Daahkterrr!') and shudders*

Donna was so adorable in general in this one.
"Flapper or slapper?"
"Flapper. You look lovely."
Aww!
And 'plucky-young-girl-who-helps-me-out' bit, haha.

One of my favourite bits was Agatha Christie though, when she shows him the note:
Doctor: "What letter is this?"
Agatha: "It's an 'm'. The word is 'maiden'."
Doctor: "MAIDEN!!!"
Agatha: *is startled* O_o
Doctor: "...What does that mean?"
Agatha: >_>;
