- All the random things the Doctor pulled out of nowhere (water pistol, coin, telescope)

I loved that too! It felt very much like Classic Who. He doesn't just break out the sonic screwdriver, because the Doctor has a lot of other goodies tucked into his suit.

Yep! Just like the toothbrush he pulls out in Shakespeare Code, hehe, or random use of the stethoscope. They could put even more of that into New Who.

Doctor's destiny seems to be genocide.

Blotting out Pompeii is hardly genocide. But yeah, his own people and the Daleks...

He did have to decide between Pompeii and the world, heh. Oh, and there were all the spider children from the Christmas special with first Donna's appearance.
And I can't believe what I just said. That sounded like I actually know all about DW... Gosh, I'm like a fan!

Didn't pick the world though. *lol* I can just see it, one of these days. "I've had it with these humans! Can anyone tell me why it always falls to me to save them? Well, not THIS time! I've had it up to here! DIE, HUMANS, DIE!! BWAHAHAHA!!!"

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about the Racnos. Wow, you're like some kind of obsessed person or something. ;)

:P
