Which is also my first attempt at pastels. I was dying to try after cluegirl's tutorial.
The pic is satinvalkyrie's, so please don't use it without her permission.
So, behind the cut are Sirius and Hermione sleeping, made with sepia, grey and black pastels. Sorry for the various smudges, it's my scanner that's dirty not the pic...

Here's a few on some of the things you said in this thread. Hope you don't mind.
I enjoyed drawing het. I had missed making curves and breasts. Even if I'll still prefer imagining Sirius with Remus ;)
Some thoughts on that comment, and one thought from the discussion in this thread. (Disclaimer--just my centimes and no more!)
1. This is a great first-try pastel drawing! You should be really proud.
2. Hermione is v.nicely done, as I see her. Face (great sleeping face), hair, the light on her upper body (breasts to chin), tummy, and legs. Love the light on her breastbone. All v.nice. You obviously have a knack for this medium.
3. I've now seen a fair amount of your posted work (but not all!) and I think your women are stronger than your men. Not that the men won't improve -- I know your men and your women both will, you're too good an artist -- but the women have excellent modeling now, in a way that feels real.
4. Part of that is probably due to this:
