I believe it’s been 2 something years since I bought a bottle of water from a convenient store. It all started after I read an article in some magazine about the crisis of water shortage and pollution in Africa.  An article filled with statistics and numbers about what is happening there. It was really disturbing, but as most of the other reads ( Read more... )

The grammar in this piece needs some serious work. Also, you misspelled "well" in your profile information.

I try my best not to mention that english is not my native language, so that it doesn't come as an excuse to let me go away with major mistakes. But I still do alot need to work on that, writing in this langauge is relatively new to me. But a great progress so far, you have to see my first tries...lol...talk about grammer.
As for the "well" mispelling inthe profile, that was left uncorrected intentionally ( as reminder and joke). My worst writing vice (if not the stupidest) is not rereading my type or post. SO end up with alot of silly mistakes that most of the time might take away the joy of understanding my points.
But hey, thanks alot for taking the time to read this, and thank you for your comment.

Ah, I thought you might not be a native English speaker. I apologize for the rudeness of my comment. Your progress with English is far greater than I will likely make with any other language--I'd love to learn to speak Russian or Chinese or any of a number of languages, but I don't see it happening. I admire the dedication that it must take to learn to communicate in a new way.

I heard that some state or country or... some government is actually charging an extra tax on bottled water. Bottled water creates more waste (not all recyclable either) in the landfills than practically anything else. Can you believe that? And, not for nothing, but I never understood why bottled water was a necessary thing. OK, if you need to filter your water, then filter it. But to spend as much money on 16 oz of WATER as you could on a loaf of bread or a pound of meat...

I love this line: leaves us with trail to follow that history remembers and life thanks.

The positive power of words should be celebrated!

Hugs! And congrats again on Word Drops! I'm very excited and proud of you! And this entry should be posted on there, by the way. Maybe in that "gift" category we were thinking of... I have a similar story about giving to the poor...

I like most of your lines darling, and you know it. Just not the photoshopped ones. scare the hell out of me...

shaddup about lazy too - not everyone can work 800 hours a day - I have baseball to watch and Guinness to drink, you know! LOL! I will tell you the firefox story in private; just like I slam my head against the keyboard at your spelling (actually, your Grammar is relatively OK) and punctuation in private. I love that fact that it's so OBVIOUS sometimes that you are typing at light speed while the thoughts are just flowing. I get to see things in raw form, which I appreciate. When you start to publish more seriously, I'll wield my red pen at you. :) And you'll love it. LOL!
