I think the reason Bijou went back to their starting pitcher instead of the third pitcher was because the third pitcher wasn't as good as the previous two. As Nishiura was hitting well meaning they could handle Bijou's #2 pitcher. There's no point sending #3 out there to get slaughtered. So they opted to their supposedly best pitcher instead.

Ack... that's a tad bit long. gomen >_>;
