The Kazekage’s sandcastle takes secrets in like water, saturating the walls. Kankuro keeps his sister and her boyfriend in separate rooms; not for propriety’s sake, but for his own.
Their little triangle reminds Kankuro of pyramids and blind fingers and long winding tunnels. He thinks of this, sees sphinxes, catacombs when either one of them is trembling beneath him.
