I have nothing to add, but I feel that more essays should use cartoons. And also flowcharts. Flowcharts are ♥. :) I agree with your points completely - you're not so much stating the obvious as explaining the dynamics of the series so thoroughly that they seem obvious. Though I guess Sasuke's first 'failure' might benefit from a survivor's guilt/failure from Sasuke's POV sidenote, because there really wasn't any way Sasuke could have saved them and he can't really be held responsible for his nut job brother. (Of course).
This is a beautifully detailed explanation of what I find to be one of Naruto's most fascinating dynamics. Personally, I found the flow charts a little hard to follow, but the written material more than made up for it. It looks like you put a lot of work into this.
