Who is the Hobo?!
We all know Phoenix, the young man... he's a total sweetheart, a feisty opponent, and we can all extrapolate that he'd be a pretty crash hot boyfriend (well, I reckon course anyway). How much do you think would change... and stay the same... as he grew up? More to the point... Edgeworth!? Where'd you go!?
Theme:
Who is the hobo!?
For Apollo Justice fans: Who is the hobo, seriously!? We know the story behind Phoenix's transformation into a fatherly bum, but there's so much we haven't been told. Namely... where is Edgeworth!? Has Edgeworth been in Germany this whole time? Did they break up? Did they never get together? Has he been visiting the Wright Anything Agency? Does he find stubble hot? Do they have a hot or angsty get-together, is Edgeworth also behind the Jurist system!?
If you feel these questions are too much, there are smaller issues, too... Edgeworth and Trucy? Would they get along? If Phoenix and Edgeworth were in a relationship, how would they engineer 'together time' around this young women living with them in their apartment!? More importantly, how good is Edgeworth's poker face? I want you to show me who your hobo is. And where Edgeworth fits into this puzzle.
For Phoenix Wright fans: There are those of you who prefer the Phoenix Wright series to the Apollo Justice one. If you'd prefer to ignore AJ 'canon', then consider... what does happen after PW3? Can you envisage that beautiful fantasy scenario where Phoenix and Miles co-create the Wright & Edgeworth Law Agency? Would they work well together, or would their little habits get on eachother's nerves? Would they never work for all the hot sex they had? Is Phoenix allergic to Pess's fur? Would either of them ever want to start a family? What about holidays? Where's the strangest place they ever had sex? As they grow old, do they become grumpy old men? Or mellow lovers? Do they ever get together at all?! I want you to show me what happens to Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth in the future, as they grow together as men and friends and lovers, if that's how you see it.
And you know... if you feel you can work even the wackiest space astronaut AU into this theme, then you work it, baby! Just tell me who you think Phoenix is and who Miles is to him.
Rules:
There are two categories you can enter... art and fic. Works with sexual/smutty/violent or otherwise R rated content are welcome... as are those that are sweet, G-rated and fluffy in nature. Everything is welcome and everything goes.
- artwork must be finished... ideally with a background and decent colouring. Sketches on lined paper (etc) won't be accepted.
- fic must be over 1500 words
- Phoenix and Miles (and their friendly/romantic relationship) must be the main focus, though other characters can be included
- all genres are welcome... angst, comedy, alternative universe...
- you must be a member of the narumitsu livejournal community
- you can't enter something created prior to the date of this post
entries may be posted to the community with 'Who is the Hobo?' in the subject header. As a courtesy, it'd be good if you could email your entry to me as well, at sarah_jane_smith (at) yahoo.com
Judging:
I will award prizes to the most creative entrants, who do the most with the given theme. Creative doesn't mean 'crack'... an introspective piece on how Von Karma's influence can be seen in all Edgeworth's relationships might be more creatively wrought than a thrown together story about Gourdy being Phoenix's marriage celebrant. Do what your spirit tells you. : )
Prizes:
There will be two main prizes awarded, one for fic and one for art. The rating of your work will have no bearing on its likelihood to be awarded a prize.

Deadline:
The deadline for all entries is July 12th. This gives you the chance to work on something really good, really long... you can enter more than once, as well, so you can take your time over it. This also gives me the chance to showcase the prizes I pick up, so you can decide if it's worth it. :) You may enter as many times as you like, in the sister community contest, too.
So, that's that! If you have any questions, even small stupid ones... don't hesistate to comment.
