Apparently, she would just have to drop it. Shikako shifted from foot to foot, crossing her arms over her chest. He'd say something eventually; he was Inosuke, after all.

"That's true," she admitted. "Might be for the best."

It almost made him angry how easily Shikako could shrug everything off. The rational part of his brain knew she was trying to appease him, as Shikako often did, but it still ticked him off that people could dismiss his dreams so easily. It wasn't right that he had to work so much harder than his teammates at everything. Chouko was naturally strong. Shikako was naturally smart. They got by in life on relying on guts and instinct alone, not having to spend hours and hours getting beaten up by Ibiko.

If he had been Sakurai, and his fist made contact with the wall like it had, it probably would have shattered. Inosuke had managed to make a decent sized crack that Chouko would probably cry about later (he apologized to her mentally, wherever she was) and his knuckles had started to bleed on impact.

"It's just not FAIR."

Shikako jumped when Inosuke's fist suddenly connected with the wall, some part of her mind reminding her that they were going to have to pay for the resulting crack. It definitely wasn't often Inosuke got this angry. Part of her wanted to stay right where she was, but still, if he went on wrecking things in her apartment, it really wouldn't be good. Besides, he was clearly hurt; it was her job to try to make that better. (Try being the key word... Inosuke was damn hard to calm down.)

So she stepped forward, wrapping her arms around him from behind, and leaned her head against the back of his shoulders, hugging him loosely. "....m'sorry."
