The last time Sachiko had been to the apartment that Sakurai and Inosuke shared had been when she'd been freshly burned and ordered to medical attention by Kureno. Inosuke had been out somewhere, which had suited Sachiko fine as she hadn't moved for a day and she didn't think she could've handed Inosuke's teasing about being in Sakurai's bed. Inosuke had been busy reorganizing his room (re: his closet) all day. Now that he had grown a little taller, he had to, of course, buy new things! His mother was so happy to see him in one piece that she had doled out a generous amount of money to her baby boy.

It was so nice to be loved.

He had be in the midst of throwing away his old shoes when he heard someone at the door. It wasn't Sakurai, unless Sakurai had forgotten his key and his teammates would have given him warning they were coming over.

Weird.

"Sachiko-chan," he said in surprise, "what's up?"

Not that he wasn't thrilled to see one of the best looking girls in Konoha but this was... well. Weird. Unless of course Sakurai had...?

...He'd gotten taller, she realized when she had to look up more at him than she recalled.

Reflexively Sachiko slid her hands into her pockets. "Hey," she replied. "I was wondering if you would be willing to help me with something."

"Me? With what?" Inosuke gestured for her to come in, trying not to dwell on how weird this was. Part of why he had liked her was that "can't touch this" attitude.

Where did it go? And what was up with this kid-friendly Sachiko?

She hesitated a moment before stepping inside, eying him carefully. He looked a bit confused. Not that she blamed him as this wasn't exactly normal behaviour for her. Therefore it made sense he would feel a little off. Which helped Sachiko relax as it put them on a more equal footing.

"With finding a birthday present for Sakurai," she replied. "I have no clue of what to get him."
