"Someone they don't particularly care for."

It wasn't that Hoshino hadn't accepted the way things were. The entire incident had been isolated, shrunk inside of her until it was barely an blip of fluctuation on her emotional radar (which was slowly but surely smoothing its way back down to zero, at last). This was the way things were. She could live with this. Train harder, learn what she could from whoever this new person in her life was going to be, make her mother and the man who would still always been a highly important father-ish figure to her proud.

Simple.

That didn't mean her kikaichuu weren't a little antsy, humming at her quietly as they slid smoothly up and down her arms, closer to the surface than usual. Just because they'd all agreed to this (some more than others) didn't mean they weren't going to passive-aggressively make their new sensei's life hell.

Hinaji tried not to show his own anxiety as he waited with his teammates, but he'd never been the best at controlling his emotions.

"...Maybe that's not true, Hoshino-chan..." They'd stolen Kureno from them, surely they wouldn't be so cruel as to thrust someone unwanted onto an unwanted team.

...But then, perhaps he'd just answered fear himself.

"E-either way..." They needed to be less tense, he knew that. If there was a way to lower the tension he would gladly do it, but he was sure there wasn't one. And he just wanted this to be over with as quickly as his friends did.

Tsurude was have a rather 'even-keeled' day. There was paperwork but that was easy enough to take care of. He had managed a five minutes break and actually enjoyed a bit of warm sake, perfect on a cool day like this. Finally, as the clock reached the appointed hour, he pulled the familiar green jacket over his shoulders, wondering if maybe he shouldn't have found something a bit heavier. Or maybe he was just worrying needlessly ( ... )

There were a few seconds where Kiba simply arched an eyebrow at Tsurude, her brain not putting together what he meant. Her gaze slipped past him, looking for anyone else before his words sunk in and everything sort of stopped for a moment. Almost blankly she looked up at him before the surprised utterance slipped past from her lips.

"You?!"

It was rude, she shouldn't have said it, it was a bad start and yet it was all she could think of. She rose to her feel, mouth hanging open slightly as she flat out stared. He was going to teach them? The Hokage? Most people would be honored, but the Inuzuka herself still had issues with him that she hadn't quite gotten over yet, since the sentencing and now with the gala. And he was going to be their sensei?
