Stupid boredom. Stupid lack of anything to do. Stupid Aki. Nodding in response to the verbal greeting, the girl slid closer to the bed, glasses on, collar up and hands deep in her pockets (one still being gnawed on by a now moderately confused kitten). Thoughts were pulling themselves into things like sentences as she took a moment to study Asuka's face. They needed to talk about loss and anger and trust and sanity. After a beat, she elaboraed, for the sake of polite small talk if nothing else. "I'm better every day, really.
