EHEHEH. Hello, Luke! ; ) I like his expression. >D
I usually have trouble resolving the pixel-edges in Photoshop myself, when I make .gif images, even when I magnify them and think I've gotten rid of all the extra pixels.
Luke says: >:D He's snarky in the beginning, even if he's too much of a doofus to pull it off well~
Hmm. I actually drew the lineart in another program and then brought them into Photoshop to color - I couldn't find any sprite-making tutorials so I just made it up! So this didn't turn out quite the way I had in mind but it's still not bad. First colored finished Luke in quite a while.
I'm really glad the game came out in English so you can finally play it now! I hope you're enjoying it~
They took the entry down but a photo is still up: ttp://www.famitsu.com/blog/express/mobimg/photo-20061109-220427-0-081be330625784e75ad8dd9a80760e80.jpg You can also see a collection of line photos here. And I thought you were lining up? What did you do all that time?!
Uh, yes. I couldn't find a tutorial so it turned into just a picture, but oh well.
WTF. D8 I had school and a meeting with my scholarship sponsors today so that's why I got home late. But anyway, WTF! I thought Japan banned people camping out! DX Hell, how could they all start lining up this MORNING?
Oh man, the line at Ikebukuro looks already long. DO you think I should leave now and line up or should I wait for the 4:30am train?
Oh I just realized your pics are on transparent background! Cool, how did you do that!? D8 Saving on PNG lets you keep the quality and transparent BG?
I really don't know. x_x Sounds like the lines are already crazy (apparently there are even yakuza?!) Maybe if you can you should go? Or if you know a small store that's not likely to get many customers...
Um, yeah! I drew the lineart in MangaStudio, colored it in in Photoshop so the whole character was filled in and then flatten->new layer from background->select the white bg->delete->save as PNG. I don't know if that's how you're supposed to do it or not but I did get a transparent BG that way.

We didn't get a WalMart flyer this week. :/ But it's great that you got it for so cheap. :D

I'm sorry :( Maybe you could find it in the newspaper or something. I can lend you the game later, too :)

And oooh, HAYATO!! Maybe I'm being too technical here but aren't sprites supposed to be pixel art?
