*In one door and out the other, a foot in one world, and here, another. Tobi wasn't sure where on earth he'd gone and stumbled, tripped himself into. But it certainly wasn't that other place (where ghosts roam the halls, filling it with absence so large, you can taste it, cleaving right to the bone) that wasn't a house, but a prison.
And here in this place, the lights were bright, rooms lined with mirrors that reflected everything and nothing at once. His cloak fluttered softly as he went out one door, then in another; and because Tobi was Tobi, and always expected an audience, he whirled on one foot and promptly started to dance through hallways, and hallways, and hallways, and rooms that were empty and small and plain all at once, almost sterile in practicality.
But practical was the last thing Tobi was, so he continued his skip, jump, hop down the hall and began to sing with off-key gusto!*

*The singing was loud and warbled with such passion and dying cat dedication, it was incredible how anyone with ears wouldn't hear him! And if Tobi sang loud enough, surely someone would come and find him!*
