No point in comparing it to previous singles, as it is obviously higher. =P
Last time, YnU second day sales were 62% of first day sales. I wonder if numbers would drop faster because the first numbers get volume from FPs, which may be unavailable later.
To be safe (multiplier = 1.75 still) they need an index of ~70 tomorrow

yeah but even given the boost, many people only bought 1 copy of the cd (well, most SANE people who arent obsessive KATTUN fangirls like some of us :D) ~ and with first press, they would've gotten that over the other editions -- which really doesnt give kattun very much of a boost really :]
whereas with NewS they had to pick one or the other :D
oh well either way..
KATTUN <33 :D dvd + single at number 1

I guess people who're casually interested in the music would only buy the FP. And also those who aren't as hardcore about collecting. idk. Don't many Japanese fans find the compulsion to BUY EVERYTHING? That Swedish documentary made it seem so. haha. Documentary bias =_+

Japanese fans.. i'm not too sure about.. lol, okay so in the english fandom (hardcore cough) lots of people bought more than 1 edition, but i'm not too sure about the sales in japan :/

Would be interesting to know how many LE and FP edition there are in all, but this are certainly numbers the record company will keep secret.

ahh. Now that I compare this 42k with how the other singles on Oricon are doing, it seems like a very big number. Most artists don't even sell 42k in the first week.

..did you mean better sales than YnU or weeeek? lol ^^;

I think the comparison with weeeek is only there to see how they are doing against NEWS, because there in the same time of the year. In general CD sales are shrinking even in Japan, so comparisons to what singles sold some time ago is a bit difficult.
YnU's second week sales were half of BnMd's second week sales.
Most Johnny's groups have a steady sale number generated by their fans, who buy every single. Some times a special hit happens that apeapls to a bigger part of casual listeners too, but they go back to their normal numbers with the next one. So were is KAT-UN's steady sale number? YnU? Hard to say with only fifth singles, a mega debut and Jin's hiatus.
