Finally back from a weekend at my sisters place. It has been some time since we (my sister, mother and I) spent a weekend together like this... And I finally got my computer working again after a week of searching for the problem. I finally gave up and formatted my c:.. very annoying considering all the programs I have to re-install. And all the favorites I forgot to backup... *sigh* -

Still got a cold, am working from home in the morning and taking the rest of the day of after lunch. Thank g-d for flexible hours. -

How come having a cold can be more annoying than actually being ill?
You feel weak but not enough to stay in bed, nor enough to stay home from work.. = annoying -

A book
Yesterday I read a new book about Chernobyl, by Svetlana Aleksejevitj, and it tells the heart rendering stories of the survivors living there. I don't know how many remember the accident with the nuclear plant there...but it was a catastrophy, as one of the survivors put it "world war three ( Read more... ) -

I mentioned to my older female colleagues about my mother and her phonecalls. And their reaction was "so?, that is not so unusual for mothers" hmmm... I'll have to think about this.
