This was delightful. So this is how Eustace gets Caspian's second best sword! This is a lovely bit of filler, backstory and all the characterizations are just spot on. I liked the period feel of it too, with the references back to things in England and the War and how Caspian just cannot believe that the Kings are not fighting too!

Oh, very nice! I liked that look at all three of them, and the comparisons between the worlds, as well as Edmund offering practical lessons.

Awwww. I really love Edmund acting as a big brother to both Eustace and Caspian, and the way Caspian is so curious about England and its differences from Narnia. I also like that part of teaching Eustace to stand up for himself is teaching him to think for himself, even if that means contradicting his parents. Not all self-confidence is based on that kind of self-knowledge, but I think the deepest and truest kind of confidence -- a king's confidence, perhaps? -- comes that way.
