How odd

For some reason, when I put my Disney soundtracks on my mp3 player, it seemed to drown out the background singers. For instance, in "Something There" from BatB, when Cogsworth and Lumiere sing in the background towards the end, "you know, perhaps there's something there that wasn't there before," their voices sound as if they are coming from one ( Read more... )

If you're listening through headphones, as opposed to listening to it on a CD player without them, it's probably that. I've noticed things sound slightly different through headphones because you have the music right there and your ear can pick up on it easier than it does through regular speakers where the sound would diffuse more. Or something scientific-y like that.

Or or or it could be the setting of the type of music you have your mp3 player set to. Mine is always on "Rock", which doesn't work so well for classical stuff, but I can't be bothered to switch back and forth when I have a mixed playlist on.
