living proof that cosplaying is becoming mainstream
all you people that disregard this stuff better get used to it, because appently it isn't going away.
so, a madonna music video. not unusual to be strange... but, yeah, for us, this... well, it makes us speechless.
in the video, madonna is crossplaying* as Mello (who, btw, hates you), a character from Death Note, which is big anime/manga style. pictures of him can be seen in the id pics of the people that commented, as well as a good one in the bg of telophase's lj. if you want more pics for ref, just google "mello hates you" or "mello's faboulus ass" or "death note", as i have actually never read the series myself (scandal!), and therefore don't have any pics of it.
*crossplay does come from the term cosplay. cosplay is the japanese shortening of "costume play", or "dressing up as characters that we love" (yes, that's the nt version). so what is crossplay? crossdressing cosplay. that's right, mello is a man. i think. but, then again, has madonna done more scandoulus things?
so, yeah, you might say its just a madonna music video set in japan.
