Barring any hiccups, I will be the owner of a condo at "beachfront condos" on Twin Lake in Brooklyn Center. Tentative closing is Oct 30, but may be sooner. Inspection will take place tomorrow along with contacting my mortgage broker and the adjuster for Saint Louis Park. so will you have a boat docked somewhere then? ;-) we can cruise. actually what sorts of activities are out at that lake? is it big enough for fish and the like, boating, swimming, etc? is it clean, clear...?

hope all goes well. looking forward to a visit once you are ready... and possibly moving assistance.

I realized I didn't answer your question about activities. I saw people out on boats and fishing but I'll have to see what I can catch. Maybe I'll actually do ice fishing if I can run to a sauna afterwards :) Don't know if I'd actually dare to eat anything I caught...

And close to us, too! Hooray for ownership! Hope things go well as you look over the inspection. Br. Park actually has a point-of-sale inspection that the city does that's pretty stringent. The sellers of our place were on the market less than a week before it went into effect, so they got lucky. There would've been a number of issues, but we knew we accepted that knowing we were getting a great deal.

I'm feeling better about the inspection after looking at it yesterday. Closing looks to be Oct 24th. I'm just waiting to hear back about my post inspection requests: Fix things or take $1500 off of the price. We'll see what they do. I locked in yesterday at 5.75% for my lmortgage so that's cool. With the volatility in the market I could have waited a while but I'm comfortable with the payments as is.
