Ever since I heard about November NaNoWrMo, I thought it would make a great proxy for academic writing.  I'm wondering if anyone else is gearing up to do this in November 2007 with their academic work?  It feels like a marathon for people who do NaNoWrMo.  Any tips for doing it with their dissertations?  Anyone else want to pledge to do it with me ( Read more... )

24 minutes to go and I am DONE!

This should be a monthly sort of a deal. Next month I will:

complete the analysis of the first case study
mark all student essays
prepare final classes
organise discussion with psychiatric practitioners
think of an interesting paper topic and write at least an abstract

• personal (MS) project update, at least partially due in 4 days, final due... sometime soon
• group project (analysis, prototyping, written report, presentation), final due in 9 days
• 1 take-home exam due in 11 days
• 1 take-home exam due in 14 days (but not given out until next week)

I can't juggle four things at once so I'm just concentrating on two, this ( Read more... )

Hey everyone! The timing of this community is great for me, as I have two class papers due soon, on Nov. 17th and Dec. 5th, and both are research proposals. I'm hoping this community will motivate me to stop procrastinating!
