Art? My Addiction

Aug 21, 2005 00:09

Have you ever had a hobby that you seemed to get absorbed into? You know where you have to do that hobby at least once a day to feel somewhat satisfied. That's where my art has driven me. Every day, I'll sketch a picture, doodle or masterpiece, but I'll keep on until it gets really late at night. Like my last finished picture,(Read more... )

I wish I had the same problem. *laughs ruefully* My art is the same for me, but since I haven't been drawing as much as I once did, I have that feeling that something's missing. I too stayed up late many a-night with a drawing that I "just had to get done".

That drive seems to have taken a leave of absence.

Now, what kind of sketchbooks do you use? Around here, Mead is the easiest (and most cost-friendly) book to get, and it's really nice to colored pencil. I'd be willing to send you a couple of those if you're serious.

If not, then here: *huggles and bakes you cookies*

Hope you feel better about it soon. Why? Because it's a GOOD thing!

*skips off*

What sketchbooks do I use? Hmm... Well the one I'm using right now is called Croquis made by Artmore(Korean). One's I've used in the past are some nice cheap ones I found in little stores next to roads in Korea, and my mom gave me. It's called Multi-Drawing Pad(again another Korean product) made by Woosung. I also have another sketch book called Drawing(yup, another Korean one) made by Art&Design. I do have one American sketchbook I use for my manga. It's made by Acadamia. You don't have to send me a sketchbook. I just read your entry, and if you're saving up for a compy, then don't spend your money on me. But thank you.^^

as for this little addiction to my art right now, it might be a drive and it probably is. But I cannot be seperated from it.*glomps sketchbooks* But yay! cookies!

Wow, to be able to buy art supplies in Korea! *drools and envies* Hmmm... Acadamia sounds familiar, a lot like the Academie line from Mead. Does your Acadamia have a sketch of a hand holding a pencil anywhere on the cover?

Really, I don't mind sending you a sketchbook if you need it, but since you object, might I suggest visiting MegaGear for some nice high quality sketchbooks at reasonable prices?

And there's no need for separation between you and your art! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise! You've inspired me to keep my sketchbook in my school bag this year, just so I can have it with me should I come up with an idea randomly. ^ ^;;

Ah, the thrill of a 70-page sketchbook. ^____________^

Even if I am able to get them Korea, I get the cheap kinds. Like the one I'm using now cost only $1.50. Though the paper quality is pretty good and there are 23 pages. Yeah I could go to Megagear, but I usually don't like buying things online, or I have to ask my dad and I just don't feel like doing that.

But yeah, my art is my drug and there is no way for anyone to wean me off that drug! And I have also finished two more angels for Project Angel. Yay! I have inspired someone!^^

Art is winnage!! I'm just kinda ignoring my stuff I should be doing to do my art. Because I need my pills! And since I have none, I have art. Remember, take medicine over the recommended usage for maximum side effects!^^

I don't know. I just practice as much as I can. Which has been almost everyday since the third grade..... But yeah... -_-

My dad tried to forbid me from drawing in my school notebooks, but I can't stop. It's just my way of paying attention. If I doodle inclass, I pay attention while doodling, but if I want to doodle but I'm not allowed my mind wanders to many different things. Which lower my grades more. So my dad kinda quit on that.^^
