Hi! You don't know me from Adam, but I'm EG. I stumbled upon you via Dragons (which, BTW I am ADORING and don't worry about Reasons, take all the time you need to finish).
Since we're strangers I won't virtual hug you, but if it's not too weird I'd like to send you a virtual fist-bump of support. My dad was diagnosed as bi-polar when I was 9 and your jello-mold is one of the most (accurate? descriptive? I'm not quite sure the word I want but something good) analogies I've come across. It sounds like you already have a good perspective on how to push through the bad days and savor the good days and I just want to say that you are smart and brave and strong and awesome. Even though he's been doing well with his diagnosis for the past 11 years, hearing about you gives me hope for my dad's continued health and maybe hearing about him can give you some extra hope too? I hope so.
You don't know me. I very likely found your LJ either through crown of weeds or Letters from Titan/big life, small space. I just wanted to say I have sympathy.
"Here's what I know: the definition of being strong is being able to get through the day. Sometimes being brave just means doing something even though you think it will make you cry in public."
Just to tell you that this sentence is pure truth. :)

I'm sorry to read this. If you want to hang out, you know how to find me. We can bake bizarro cookies if you want to go the experimental route!
I hope this week is indeed better. <3
