State of the things

It has been one hell of a week, my lovelies.  In some kind of effort to put way more hands-on work into character research than any author ever should, I somehow managed to scratch the hell out of my cornea last week while taking out my contacts, and couldn't look at a computer screen for more than a couple of minutes for three days. I don't even ( Read more... )

Sorry to hear about your rough week, especially the cornea scratch.

I'm going to ask about the Improbable Crossover (surprise, surprise).

“You're a good kid,” she says, and he braces himself for the wand. “Kind of a brat, and I think we'd both better be glad I'm not the one who has to live with you, but you're good for him. Blaine deserves someone like you.”

Specifically I'm interested in Tilda's thoughts on Kurt & why she let him keep his memories. Also how she views their relationship.

I do still love that story :)

So, Tilda. Tilda's thoughts on Kurt have a lot to do with her thoughts and feelings towards Blaine. Technically, it's probably only her job to keep him alive until he turns eighteen--but she's basically standing in as the only family Blarry has, and she's a decent person, an she generally considers that it's her job to have some kind of eye out for his emotional/psychological well-being, too. So when Blarry goes off about he just wants one person who knows who he is...yeah, she cares ( ... )

As you should, it's a lovely story :)

Thank you such a thorough answer! So the question was, is Kurt going to be good enough for Blaine that it's worth the risk of Kurt being bad for him?

I'm glad that she came down on the side of yes & that she does put Blarry first. Poor kid definitely hasn't gotten enough of that in his life.

I cannot tell you how excited I am for summer in hopes of the last part of the trilogy being posted. It shall be my reward for finishing my medical school applications LOL

In Walk Tall Beneath These Trees, what is werewolf society's view on homosexual relationships/mates? What about plain humans?

Also, what colors are the wolves in this verse? Do they have domestic colors(spotted, gold, red, blue eyes, etc) Or are they generally grey/brown/black with gold eyes? D they retain any indicators of their human forms? (Kurt's blue eyes, etc)

I'm going to ask about the very first thing in this fandom that I ever read - When the Lights Go Out, Will You Take Me With You. What happens after Blaine tiredly admits to his father that he's living in New York? Does Blaine finish the year in NYC in that apartment with Kurt and Rachel? Does he go to college and still have a relationship (such as it is, obviously) with his parents?

(I loved this idea of him running away with Hummelberry after S3 so, so much).

Also, there is one thing that you wrote that doesn't appear here at all: http://glee-gen-fest.livejournal.com/3180.html

Oooh, you're right, that story never did get put up because it got posted to the challenge and not here. Should add that. Thanks ( ... )

(I should add that, while I've known people who got through college on the power of the married-independent-student EFC, it is complicated as hell, and I can only begin to guess at how much more complicated gay marriage would make the issue. The FAFSA is a federal form, not state, and the kind of 'we don't want to get married this way but it makes sense' discussions straight couples have might not even apply. Which would be interesting to explore, inasmuch as stories about paperwork and problems that never quite get fixed are ever interesting. The important part, though, is that however they make it work, they do--and that in the end, Kurt still gets his flock of ice doves.)

This is fascinating! I really loved this story as well but it would be so interesting to see how the daily living details get worked out for college and beyond.

balancing between 'we're nineteen and Burt maybe didn't sign on to support yet another son through college' and 'we're basically married, and your finances should be my finances'

Now I'm thinking of how this all could play out. All I can think of his how they were both asked by friends who they lived with & how now their friends from school view them.

Oh to be a fly on the wall for the interactions between Burt & Blaine's mom!

just saw the first bits of Cooper in the promo and immediately thought of how he could translate into Dragons :P

I've been thinking about that! And how my answer to the question above might have been completely different if I'd taken five more days to think about it.

Cooper Anderson, I think, has an enormous ego and a lot of self-centeredness that could translate beautifully to this world, if I figure out how to splice it together with the idea of him being touted as the man who will be a better king than his father rather than the man who was super-hot in those commercials for free credit rating today dot com. It should be interesting to explore.
