2nd tarot

Alright, so it looks like I'm stuck here. I'm staying with Shiori-san for now, but I don't want to impose. Is it okay to just move into an empty place, really?

Anyway, I heard there's a police force. I'd like to join if only to make sure Naruse doesn't--. I'm a Detective in my [...] home world, so I think I could help out. I want to help out. ( Read more... )

The current head of the police force and attorneys help to interview prospective members of the police force.

It's okay if you need to stay here for a little while. It's kind of nice having company.

But if there are empty apartments it's free for the taking. I'll even help you clean if you want!

I bet you'd be a really big help to the force here, Detective-san!

Ah, thank you, Shiori-san. Still, for privacy...

That would be great! To be honest, I'm not much of a cleaner.

Haha, I'm just a guy, really. I'm not that great.

It's okay. I have the bedroom when I need to have my privacy.

I'm so use to cleaning. [She chuckles.] Though around here it's really calming. Plus it's nice to see things cleaned up when you're done... it makes you wonder if that's how things looked before everything went bad here.

You're a good detective, I think even being 'just a guy' you'll be really helpful.

Then I'll do my best not to overstay my welcome, Shiori-san. So I can just go into one of the other apartments?

Yeah, it's pretty depressing to see what things look like around here...

You're too kind, Shiori-san.

Ah, yes. Serizawa Naoto, nice to meet you.

[Slightly surprised; have a pause.]

Shirogane Naoto. You as well.

I am a private detective, back home; a member of the police here. Actual officers-that is, people who are police back home, as well-are a rarity here.

Ah-- that's kinda funny, isn't it? [he laughs a little, though it doesn't sound too happy]

Then I hope I'll be able to help out. I'm young, but I do have experience. Who would I have to talk to, Shirogane-san?

Yes, there is a police force here. I'm in charge of it, my name is Arisato Minato.

Would you mind telling me what sort of experience you have?

I joined the police force after high school. I started out as a regular officer, but I've been a detective for a few years now. I followed all the necessary courses and training to become a detective, though I didn't go to university. But I've also got plenty experience with the duties of a regular police officer.

I see. So you would favour being a detective, but can do both.

And before you arrived here, you were still on active duty and not discharged for any reason? Have you ever been in any kind of trouble that you were punished for and if you have, or discharged for that matter, can you tell me what reasons those were?

I was. On active duty, that is. I was working when I got transported here.

Only a couple warnings to be less enthusiastic. That's it.
