It was gross, that's what it was. Maybe Pete was so used to his own grossness that it didn't phase him, but Patrick wasn't raised in a pigsty and there was no way he could sleep in the same hotel room as Pete right now ( ... )

He's not scared, ok? Pete's loud mouth aside, no one else has a problem with Joe hitting his 17th birthday without ever having kissed anyone. It's not because he's scared, it's because he's picky, and he's not just going to mack on the brace-face in his pre-alebra class just because he's pretty sure she'll let him ( ... )

Patrick wasn't a great goalie. To be precise, balls flying at his face tended to make him duck and hide, not shove his head in the way, no matter how many times Pete told him otherwise. Also, he forgot where he was supposed to go for offside kicks at least once a game, and tended to pick dirt out of his cleats instead of paying attention when the ball was near the other goal ( ... )
