Ficbit: After the fall (2/many) (still FT13)

Is there really any need to put the rating in the title again? This whole story is work safe after all, and I'm still unsure about ratings systems in general.

I relly liked this. Loved Illyria's voice and her put down of Giles was perfect. He really let his dislike of Angel blind him to what was happening.

I've never been much of an Angel fan but even I found the way Giles and the Council treated him in ATS season 5 to be awful so, at the very least, they deserved to get yelled at for it, IMO. It was fun to picture this scene and the looks on all their faces :)

Echoing the sentiment - really great Illyria voice and the casual and devestating way she drops Giles in it for refusing to help Fred was terrific.

Love Willow's little moment of channeling Xander, that was great.

I'm glad. I was worried about Illyria's voice in this scene :)

Did love Fred, and know that Willow cared for her, so this interplay was spot on. I can see Willow unable to process what the man she admires so much did out of possible spite. And knowing that, thinking he was hurting Angel, he caused the death of a sweet innocent instead, Giles should be a bit stunned, as well.

Exactly. Giles does have some serious resentment stored up against Angel, and not without reason considering the torture at the end of BTVS season 2, but he's not a callous man. With Illyria right there in front of him, he'll have to confront his actions and deal with the fallout. Hopefully it'll be a learning experience for all involved *grins deviously*

Hah! I really liked Illyria giving Giles and the Council what for. Who has Wesley's ashes, I wonder?

Glad to see you back, hon!

Thanks!

Despite the character dying off at the end of the series, even Alexis Denisof made the point that no one ever truly dies in the B-verse. Even the dead stick around most of the time *grins and looks mysterious*

A bit melodramatic, perhaps

No. Worked really well.

I too, always had a problem with Giles refusing to help. Judging from the number of fics and their tone, so do most fans. :-)

It's hard to keep from slamming Giles around on this particular issue, but I hope I'll be able to pull it off *crosses fingers*
