FINALLY.

Jan 22, 2011 23:02

This took SO many bloody tries to finally upload - my determination is questionable.

Sorry for the choppiness of the audio, the upload process didn't seem to be working all too well tonight.

As always, no judgement, chickens.

etc., blather, crack, the internet killed my life, meme-r-ific

We're such busy LJ bees tonight, aren't we?

I tend to cry really easily, too, which is sort of a new development in my life from the last few years. I'm not a loud crier, but I'll sit there with tears silently streaming down my face until someone hands me a tissue. I cried watching the snow leopards on the Planet Earth series. I cried every time a violin could be heard in Lord of the Rings. Come to think of it, I cried over the lighting of the beacons scene. (Who cries over the lighting of the freaking beacons scene?)

I need a backrub. From Andrew Garfield would be nice, since I hold him responsible. He and Carey Mulligan can take turns like.

Your accent is fabulous! Is it a typical Toronto accent, or is there a little of something else in there? Here in the States we cleverly assume that all Canadians say "eh" and "aboot" and what not, so it was quite refreshing to hear your lovely, well-enunciated words!

I'm not sure I know whether there is such a thing as a Toronto accent - our city is so multicultural that it'd be almost impossible to say it's one thing or another. Certainly I've noticed accents from either the East or the West coast of Canada, as well as the Prairies or French Canada, but I'm not at all representative of any of those. I was born and raised in Wales, so I say a few things with a pretty distinct accent (though most British people would agree that it's pretty unique in and of itself).

I don't personally know anyone who says "aboot", though. :P

Heh, thanks! You aren't the first person to say so; the other comment I get is that I'd have a good voice for radio or phone sex hotlines. :P

I'm considering doing podcasts of some of my fic, though - at least the stuff that isn't NC-17, since I don't think I could read through that without giggling furiously.

I grew up in Machynlleth, Powys, but it's been over 15 years since I moved to Canada - might explain why my accent is so off. It'll change depending on my level of tiredness or the company I'm surrounded by, too - around Irish people I'll start saying things with more of an Irish inflection, though the Welsh comes out full force whenever I'm around other Taffs! :D
