We're coming up on the last weekend before the end of NaNo and people are starting to coast to 50K and verify! Don't forget to verify when you hit 50K, that way you get a nice purple bar. Still plenty of time to write if you're behind, you have a full weekend ahead. A lot can be done in one day, and even two or three!

5,391 today for a total of 88,187! I was going for 4K today, but then I ended up hitting 5K, and then I had to end the scene, so there you go. I can see the finish line, fellow NaNoers!

Yes, I think so! I just have to write in a kidnapping and get that resolved...the story will likely go over 100K, but that's okay. It'll find a proper end. :)

That is good. I think it is always good to come to a conclusion to the story by the end of NaNo rather than putting it off until later.

What is this "between hotels" you speak of?! As in you checked out of one and haven't yet checked into another, or you actually do not have a hotel to reside in at the moment? Either way, sounds unpleasant. Stay warm, stay dry, and well done on the writing!

Exactly that. I needed to check out of one but could not check in at the other hotel until the afternoon. The check-in hotel was happy to take my bags beforehand though, so I did not need to leave them at original hotel or cart them around with me.

The rain ended up not being too bad. I thought it was going to be a repeat of last weekend and get soaked. It cleared up for the walk and rather than go up a canyon which I had planned, I went into a cafe and wrote my daily amount.

Sounds like a lovely day, in spite of the rain! Yeah, most places will take bags before check-in, and some will even let you do an early check-in if they have the room available.

Sitting and writing in a cafe sounds perfect, to be honest.

I stalled out at 10k. I just lost the drive this month. I can blame the election and then having my Mom visit for a week but a lot of it was my story was a bit weak and I didn't know where to go with it :-/

Yes, blaming it on the election is perfectly acceptable. Ugh, I'm still coming to terms with it.
