It's Day 22! Now is the time things are starting to come together and your novel is ready for the close, for the end. 50K is just around the corner! Those of you who are behind and think the end will never come, you'll be surprised at the miracles that happen near the end. I've seen people at 25K this time, write 25K in the last week to get 50K ( Read more... )

1918 for me today. I started the morning with some birding at a garden, then met the fabulous Blackbook75, before going to a marsh and then getting stalked by a coyote. I then finished the day off changing hotels from San Francisco to Berkeley.

Stalked by a coyote? Sounds like that should be written into your story! Very exciting, glad you weren't eaten!

I went to El Polin Spring on the Presidio as when I last visited it, it was raining and I wanted to see it in the sun. So, I get there and have a wander around for 30 minutes. As there are benches, I sat down as often birds can sometimes start coming in if you sit and wait. I see a coyote in the scrub, take a quick picture and thought it would slink away. About 15 minutes later, it shows up on the open grass opposite (behind a fence) and is just sniffing around. I know that it knows that I am there but it seems more interested in what I thought it was looking for rabbits or dogs in the distance. I do a video to post later, talking quietly and it does not look at me.

So I go to leave and it starts walking with me at the same pace. Not faster, and not slower, just the same pace. I had a clear path though, and the coyote had to negotiate bushes so I gained a lead. I did check behind me every few meters in case it suddenly pounced.

Yeah, I think, even if I hadn't been sick, I probably would've pooped my pantaloons at having a coyote following me, especially since I doubt I could outrun it. You sound very outdoorsy. Well done! You've packed a lot into this trip.

Yay for breaking the 3K and the 70K. Well done.

My prophecy of toilet time seemed to have come true. I am sorry. Next week's lottery numbers are 69 and 91. Bonus points if you know what movie it is. :D

Anytime! Die hard with a vengeance.Very minor part in a movie, where McClane's colleague plays his badge number which allows him to then identify he is in the lift with a bad guy.
