Day Eleven Word Counts

Nov 12, 2016 12:13

Time flies so fast, I can't even believe it's Day 11! Are your words piling up so much that you're forgetting what day it is? Hopefully as you take time to write, you also take time in your day to remember those who have fought for the country. It was also Friday, a holiday, so I'm sure many took advantage to up their word count too!

2068 for me today. No holiday in the UK, but as I was back in the UK and in the office, I was able to do a lunchtime session and an evening session.

Again with the multiple writing sessions! Always fabulous, because sometimes I find that I can get a second writing wind, so to speak, where a break in between refreshes me so I can get a bit more in during that second session.

Not so much of a holiday over here; we're all still sitting shiva from the election results. And for those of us who work in a hospital, we don't get holidays off, either. ;)

The morning session is dropped, as it often does, but I normally use it more for the start to get a bit of a boost.

Yeah, I am hoping that it will be fairly quiet when I go. France has it as a day off.

1,861 today, for a total of 32,557. Not a great day (I try to get at least 2K a day in, at least), but acceptable. The story is coming along swimmingly, and I have managed to make my best friend, who is the only person who reads my story (and vice versa) crap her pants (figuratively) with unexpected events. :D

It is over the daily amount, so good going, especially with what you have planned for the 13th.

I have not let anyone read my stories yet. I claim I am waiting until after the first edit.

Also cheers for saying "Figuratively", as otherwise your best friend may be thinking that I am thinking about them too on the toilet. haha.

What do I have planned for the thirteenth? Do you mean hitting 40k ( ... )

Yep, the 40K.

I remember once at primary school we decided to right sequel stories. So each was called Bomb, Bomb 2 and Bomb 3. Now as we were going to write action, we wanted to put swearing in to the stories, and asked our teacher. Our teacher said yes, and so with permission we set about writing the stories.... and then a parent find it.

We of course say that the teacher gave us permission and so it was all okay. The Teacher was like "What?!?! I never gave you permission to swear"
"Yes you did, you said we could put "bleeps" in" (bleeps for us was swear words)

She had thought we were talking about robots, where instead we were like "Bleep you, you bleeping bleep bleep". XD
