Day Eight Word Counts

Nov 09, 2016 00:28

It's Day Eight and I hope you were able to get a decent amount of words written tonight. I've written for the last two hours and I'm tired and ready to go to bed. I was hoping to go for a couple of more hours, but I guess I have to shut the computer off for tonight. It's also the beginning of what is called hell week, but just keep writing if ( Read more... )

1814 for me today. I had to do everything in the dark as colleague was still sleeping but it was not too bad, as I could judge by his breathing patterns on how noisy I could type. Luckily, they managed to find him a room for the second night and so had less restriction this morning. Full day meeting last night so glad I wrote the daily amount in the morning.

Glad you were able to write without bothering your colleague. Also glad they found him a different room! Well done getting your writing done early; I prefer those days rather than trying to squeeze it all in when I'm ready to unwind after a long day!

Tell me about it. Getting it out the way, does reduce the stress.

428 today for a total of 25,076. No shame, no regrets. I had a very full day, getting my brother re-assessed for his autism (because apparently NYS thinks you can outgrow that? *side eye*), followed by a dentist appointment ("fun"), and grocery shopping. By the time I got home and unloaded everything, I was exhausted. I put in a Beatles movie for some background noise and sat down to write.

Then the election results starting trickling in.

And there goes the neighborhood. D: D: D: D:

Well done for breaking the 25K.

I suppose it depends on the degree of autism and age. My cousin has autism, and she grew out of some habits (shaking hands when excited, making indicator noises and having to leave the room at the noise of snooker, to name a few). So I am not sure if habits can mask the category of autism?

Election may be good for me with exchange rates. Not surprised by result though as we have been seeing same trend in UK.

Oh we get that all the time, and they often make the wrong decision. The media twisting things does not help, as it makes out that the vast majority on the disability benefits are cheating the system.

My brother has Epilepsy and as a result needs to go through a benefits assessment ever so often. They have, however, finally got call outs for him after a chance conversation with my mother, when they asked whether she was going on holiday. They had not realised that she was effectively permanently on call 24/7 so always had to be in driving distance from him.
