56,000 words. Not finished but done for now. I have another 5K and a 15 December deadline. Have the few brave ones here crossed the finish line?
This was a different kind of November. I wrote in galloping binges, stops and starts. M-W 15 hour days. 1 day recovery. 3 days of writing. Disjointed. Too many plot points. Writing is hard, even if you love it. Writing is lonely, even if you love it. This kind of writing, the pace of this kind of writing, is sweeter when you have a team. I missed that this year. Dobbin thank you for holding this together. Thank you to the 3 or 4 other people who came here to check in. I did not always comment but I was here hoping you had. Kibet, thank you for your daily presence. For your pep talks even when they were not directed toward me.
I hope we can do this again. Perhaps just 1 tight team with friendly competition.

You're welcome! I agree too. I was pretty lonely myself, mostly in my local region because I wasn't able to attend any events. Weird month for me too because I had other things going on too. I am thinking of one tight team next year.
I was planning on some 10k day's this weekend. My laptop battery managed to finally die on me and anytime I tried to write, the dog unplugged the power cord. lol
Word count for the day: 4,969 Total word count: 105,328
Managed to meet my goal of 100K this month AND finish the story, so I'm very proud! I have things set up nicely for next year (another year...another sequel!) and left things on a maddening cliffhanger, so next year's day one will be akin to scratching a year-long itch at long last.
Thank you for doing these -- they really keep me motivated, even if I've never even joined a team (maybe next year?). Congratulations to everyone who participated! ♥
Well done for breaking the 100K, when numbers disappeared and the winner bar was replaced, I noticed your jump in the rankings on my buddies page on the last day.
Well done for participating in NaNoWriMo. I would suggest trying out the Campwrimos to get some practice in for next November. Writing consistently may seem like the most difficult option as you have to commit to writing every day, but it is some ways a lot easier than taking a day off then attempting to write more the next day or on the weekend.
