[Let us say, for comedy's sake, that Dakki already went on her morning run before Gat and Chen got HUGE.

Let us also say, for comedy's sake, that Gat forgot his lunch because he was huge! Thus, Dakki has strolled on down to the firehouse to bring it to him. Yes, she's aware that there are... big... everythings all over town, but it hadn't occurred to her that Gat would be one.

Until she's about a block away and can see his head poking up from between the buildings.]

Uh...

[By the time she's actually AT the firehouse, she's grinning sheepishly, holding that lunch box up.]

I... don't think this is going to cut it, today. Do you?

Sounds like a good idea. I'll stick to th' streets th' best I can. I think I'll be alright takin' a route through th' park, though. So long as any small folks ain't gonna try hidin' in th' grass there.

[His voice takes on a slightly morbid tone as he glances back at one of his feet.]

I'd check an' make sure I ain't crushed anyone underfoot right now, but I ain't in th' best place to do that.

Yeah. Light knows if'n it was me that got shrunk, I'd be stickin' close to th' side of buildin's an' not wanderin' out in th' open.

If I had been shrunk, I'd have stayed inside and made someone else run errands. Although I can see how getting cooped up is boring...

[Gat rubs the back of his neck, realizing that he'd been fearing for Aurica's safety while saying that if he were shrunken, he'd have no problem risking life and limb to go outside and take care of the daily grind.]

Heh, guess I'm jus' a little too used to tryin' to be on time for work.

Well-hopefully you'll find her in th' house, then. I've seen some of th' larger folk around here deliberately tryin' to cause a scene, menacin' th' drones an' what not.

I'd hate to see her an' anyone else get stomped on in th' middle of that.

[It's gently scolding, and Dakki turns her eyes downwards. She's not much better, with all her housewifery.]

...it doesn't surprise me, that some jerks would be running around scaring people when big. I hope none of them would be nasty enough to try stomping on anyone on purpose.

[She looks... not worried, exactly, but suddenly preoccupied. Dakki has that look on her face that she gets when trying to think of the best way to tackle an enormous problem.

... but I'm hopin' for th' same. Though I'm pretty sure anybody with half a mind to hurt folks is gonna abuse this here privilege today, if Mayfield gave 'em th' chance.

I don't think I can handle a phone at th' moment, but I reckon one of th' other firefighters here could answer th' call for me.
