The wheelchair is now nothing more than a dolly to carry my school bag. A somewhat ridiculous arrangement, but the bag is at least 10 pounds, and I have enough to deal with right now ( Read more... )

I'm sorry you have to deal with all of this. I admire your determination.

Thank you. I actually went through this 15 years ago, but I have never gotten the chance to write about it. I write about it in present-tense because it feels more vivid & it's easier to put myself back in that particular situation. While I still have lingering deficits, I am much improved since high school. Thanks so much for the wishes.
