I feel small. Hell, I am small after dropping almost 15 pounds after a month-and-a-half of invalidism. But it's more than that. My perspective has changed ( Read more... )

I've had the wheelchair perspective for so long. Reading your reaction to it really surprises me. I love the angry tone in this.

Powerful, and it reminded me of another very poignant piece written for this competition in early weeks. Was that also you? I believe it must have been.

Yes the angry tone is justified. that should not happen.

I did a course which made us go round in wheelchairs to see how it felt. Changed my view, NEVER look over the top of a wheelchair bound person...never. It is even worse to talk about them, not to them.

So completely agreed. People do not understand what it's like. I was lucky to not need the wheelchair long.
