What was your favourite subject in school?

I don't think this answer is going to surprise anyone. It was chemistry. For me, experimental chemistry still can’t be beat for combining fun + intellectual stimulation.

Hmmm ... I'd have thought physics!

My favourites were English and history. :-)

I had a not-so-brilliant physics teacher in high school and then a *very* bad experience with my first physics class at University (53 students, of which 2 were female, and a horribly sexist prof). That put me off until later years at Uni when I discovered chemical physics/physical chemistry.
