Day 77/183: Plus/minus

- After at least 20 years of service (it belonged to the bloke’s parents before moving in with us in 2008), our microwave disintegrated dramatically this afternoon. The plastic around the glass door window crumbled into bits, like a wet biscuit.

I'm not sure I could have resisted the impulse to buy a red microwave, if I had ALL those other red appliances, to be honest :D

Hooray for builders being back onsite - have you found a new place to live? Around here, people are not permitted to rent out their airbnbs for tourists - only for essential workers. I wonder if that's the case there - and if you could find someone who wouldn't otherwise be able to rent out their place, who would give you a good deal for a month?

That is interesting about Keiki's progress with home schooling vs classroom! It's good that he is doing well at home!

Haha! It was difficult, I must admit. But the only red options were too small and too low power.

Yes, we have a place to live and it is very nice indeed; will tell the story under lock. :)

it is positive! I wouldn't want to do it forever. He's far too sociable not to attend school.

It was exciting to buy a new microwave! I don't remember the last time I did; it will have been 15 years at least.

It will! Must keep the end goal in mind.

Change is happening fast now - the roofers are putting tiles on the extension today. Two weeks ago we didn't even have rafters.
