You seem to be doing very well so far. Surprisingly, I am too, given my tendency to lose focus and procrastinate. I have one task from January still to be attended to, but I've completed two of this month's, and have made a start on another. In fact, I've already crossed off as many tasks from my list as I did during the whole of last year!
Thanks! I'm pretty afraid for this next month. I think it's going to be a stretch to keep this up with the house in a mess. We'll temporarily lose the kitchen, too, probably for about a month.
Well done for making progress on your goals - if you need cheering on, am always happy to do so!
Yes fiiiinally. It's only been about three years since we first floated the idea. The planning permission took ages, and then we dithered over finding builders. But it's really happening at last!
Thank you! I'm pretty sure that at least some of this will go out the window this month due to the major upheaval of house renovation, but I'll see what I can stick with.
Oooh ... exciting about the extension. Though probably not ideal to start with it in winter?
You know - the alcohol thing would be the easiest for me, I think. Haha ... I had 2 beers Saturday but only because I wasn't driving and I felt obliged to drink alcohol.
Probably not ideal, but on the flip side, if we can finish it then we can have the summer to do the decorating and that's the fun bit.
I find the alcohol thing difficult because it's very ingrained in society here. It can be quite hard to make friends if you don't drink socially. However, I've noticed that the impacts it has on my health have increased dramatically over the past 1-2 years, so I've got to cut back for that reason alone.
