That's quite a fabulous colour. I dread to think what sort of surroundings it's attempting to camouflage itself amongst!

I don't think it has much choice about the colour, as it comes from the crustaceans it eats. No hope of blending in with the background, unless it decides to live in a land of perpetual sunset!

Yes, there were 4-5 of them wandering about in the rain forest exhibit, such lovely bright splashes of red amongst the foliage.
