Revised editions are put out all the time, the first that come to mind are Death Note Black and The Walking Dead hardcovers which are twice the length of the previous paperback printing. There's also collected editions like Absolute Sandman or the Howard the Duck Omnibus so the general comic buying public should already be familiar with this practice.

This will make the spine thicker so you'll have to think of a corporate logo to put there so readers don't lose it when they place it on their bookshelf!
