PS - out of an aspiring icon-maker's curiousity, what do you use to make your icons?

I use PowerDVD for screen capping, IrfanView for quick and easy batch cropping, Photoshop to resize/adjust frame size/brightness (I sometimes skip that step for cartoon icons and do that in -->), ImageReady to animate and add borders.
