If you're still in your home airport, would it be less stressful to go home and change all your plans from there so instead of an extra day of stressful travel you could make arrangements for something similar to your original plan even if it's a few days later?
I'm sorry you have to go through this. Airlines don't make it easy with all of their cutting back of flights to make any kind of delay manageable for the passengers. I don't like to fly anymore. It used to be kind of a fun adventure, now it's a cattle call.
