What to do what to do?

I am giving this dilemma way more attention than it deserves but---here goes.  Today I received a friend request on myspace from someone I knew many years ago.  She was one of the first people I made friends with when I moved to NJ.  The thing is she was no friend o'mine.  Later that year I started receiving really nasty prank phone calls ones ( Read more... )

Friend of screamingdolai" here.

Knowing people who did stuff like that to me I would so give the reply that you want to.

But I would also go through the wondering like you are.

Get the closure. If this is taking up space in your mind you need the closure.

I just wonder if a uber-douche such as this could actually feel guilty about something...if so then it's worth it,if she doesn't perhaps I am making her day?

Dude you used the C-word! Oh wait, it was the P-word you didn't like.

Definately deny her...but is it worth maybe freaking a psycho out by telling her you remember how nasty she was to you, and how could she even think about friending you?

Obviously without the C-word, because I've learned my lesson in using bad words.

it's the p-word she really can't stand! (if I remember right)
she could be penitant, she could just be padding her friend numbers. you don't have to do anything you don't want to, and you really don't even have to talk after you freind her. Just don't forget I LURV you and will KICK HER FAT, DOUCHY-CUNT ASS from here till next Sunday if she gets even the slightest bit bitchy toward you!
And you know I can do it.

you are correct! (in my best Phil Hartman imitating Ed Mcmahon voice)I am definitely not friending her but I really want to bitch slap her---I think she is padding her numbers (that was my first thought)

I would definitely deny her, but rather than stooping to her level by calling her a two-faced cunt, either don't say anything and let her wonder, or send a message saying "you have got to be kidding".

Then again, if this was eigth grade bullshit, it is possible that she has changed and even feels bad for her junior high behavior. You could be the bigger person and friend her, and then if she turns out to be a jerk, unfriend her with a message saying you guess you were mistaken to have given her another chance.

I would want to call her a two-faced cunt because she clearly was one, but I wouldn't do it. Take your closure in the knowing that you could call her one, that she has reached out to you and now the power is yours, to have this bitch in your life or not.

I'm still deciding but I like the "you've got to be kidding option"

Thanks!

Hi!
I am a friend of screamingdolai too! (Who, by the way, says you are the coolest!)
And I totally agree with the advice given by tomincloset, Karma has already been a bitch to her, so you don't have to! and the "you have got to be kidding" line works perfectly.
