Whenever I'm not working, I want to be writing. The characters whisper their various angsts in my ear and it has to be written down. I return to work Tuesday (sigh).

Once you have a Tinkerbell reference, the rest kind of comes as a boxed set. A gestalt, as it were. I don't intend to beat it to death or take it all that seriously.
I would love to leave an intelligent feedback but my brain seems to be frozen tonight. Therefore, I will only say that I love this story and I adore the universe that you created. Your Spike is one of the best. You made me like Buffy - and let me tell you, it's nearly an impossible task. :)
Gosh, Nan, you've been busy. Poor Dawn mercurial mood changes, fun to tears, 17 indeed. Found this most interesting/alarming,
It took Spike a couple of minutes to calm his demon down, send it back to drowsing. Wasn’t focusing all that well himself, truth be told. Demon, it was specially alert to anything felt as a threat at such times. Not even counting it’d got too fucking independent by half, the last few days. Have to do something about that, some way….
And now for something completely different. Had to work late tonight at school and found myself resenting the fact (actually the work went really well once started) and realised what I was most annoyed about was the fact that I had not had time to visit any characters in my head today and float off into fantasy land and that made me think of Spike and his forays out of the "real" world and yeah, hmm, maybe we are all not so different in that regard :) Jane
“Phones are working again. Because it rang. It was Angel.” As Buffy moved, Willow said hastily, “He didn’t wait. He said don’t decide anything, don’t do anything. He’s coming. Then he hung up.”
“Shit!” said Spike concisely.
I concur with Spike. And I can't wait to see how you play it out, Nan. Just be good to my vamp, will ya? If begging helps any, I've got the kneepads all ready and in position.

I thought I'd used Spike's quota for "Bloody hell," so I tried an alternative. I'll think about it. Thanks for commenting, Rhonda. See, there IS a beneficial side-effect of not working! (I go back tomorrow. Be sure and keep us Lofters apprised of how your job search goes.)

Well, that's about the only bloody good thing about it! I should be writing, but the Muse died years ago, I think, and job hunting wears me out. Thank goodness for Spike!

I was delighted to see two new parts up. So glad you're writing again.

For me, "Shit" just didn't ring true for Spike. I think he would've said, "Fuck".
Just a personal glitch.
