Wow, I am so glad that you wrote this!
Especially poignant was the thought, "I wasn't doing anything overtly sinful". That gave me pause in a big way, as it hits the nail right on the head for me. I have so many interests that distract me from my day to day walk with Almighty God...and before I know it, the day has ended and these interests have silenced my inner dialog with Him.
Thanks so much for this. I know your primary reason for journaling isn't for sharing what you have learned and experienced in your faith, but I think that in sharing it from time to time it can benefit....well who knows who Nanc! This was a great peace to meditate on for me.

nance, please don't be too hard on yourself. your spiritual self has a light all of its own, and it comes forth and enriches my life, especially now, when i'm in a somewhat critical time in my life. listening to your words about The Heavenly Father, your forays into nature, the teaching you do about plants so lovingly reflect your own spiritual self, and that, in turn, enriches our lives. what better way to live the Gospel? this is your way, your prayer, that i can see, is watching you care for your children, your husband, unfailingly always, this gives me comfort and much more, HOPE. meditating on the words alone are good, but you live it daily.
