I have read many, many of your entries, and I can not help but wonder why on earth you seem to think that making your kids pancakes for breakfast and potatoes for lunch makes you a good mom. I mean, I'm sure you are a good mom, but you speak of sending potato wedges for lunch and today is was pie. How is that healthy? Fried potatoes for lunch doesnt make you a good mom, I think it makes you cheap. Make them sandwiches for gods sake, or some kind of REAL food. THAT would make you a good mom.

I've read a bunch of your posts too, you are just as lazy as your friend here. I guess birds of a feather and all that...Instead of encouraging each other to continue to be lazy and selfish, maybe you could encourage each other to put your children first and actually act like mothers.

(sheepish look) I give my kids Pop-Tarts for breakfast sometimes in place of yogurt or toast with peanut butter. They are always pushing things to the very last minute when we have to dash out the door, so Pop-Tarts can be taken with. It's better than nothing at all.

In a perfect world, kids would eat whatever is good for them, on time and in the right amounts. Families would also be able to afford whatever expenses children entail!

We also wouldn't have pain, sorrow or wars!

I did the same thing with my kids when they were young. You just do the best you can. You might try granola bars in place of pop-tarts once in awhile. They're good fiber. :-)

Nancy,
I hadn't read this series of anonymous comments and I'm appalled at the idiot who left them so blithely on your LJ. Why do some people feel that their mission in life is to harrass and criticize others. How unkind and unnecessary. You are an amazing woman and do so many things I would never think of doing. You have your own style that may not be orthodox to many people but that is no reason for anybody to be so harsh and stupid. Our eyes should turn inward first and nobody should judge anybody that way. I'm sorry you had to deal with this.

Thank you, Donna. It really boosts my ego to hear so many of you say that I'm amazing! I'm so glad you are all my friends!

I don't know how I missed this, but I wish I'd been here sooner for you.

As pondhopper said, why should Carol feel the need to 'straighten you out'? I, too, am appalled.

You just keep being the amazing YOU that you are and ignore such blatant rudeness!

It does make me feel good to know that I'm not the only one who drowns in my house and kids! Not that you do, of course! sigh.
