"Suddenly, Lily came to the realization that sometimes people really do have epiphanies. The incredibly imperfect Reid was perfect for Luke. Crap." ROTFLMAO!!!!!
Thank you very much! I tend to think that epiphanies are fun when they happen to other people. I can picture Lily trying to explain her epiphany to Reid and him looking at her like a crazy person.
Thank goodness Lily finally sees Noah's ugly true colors and realizes just how much Reid loves and values Luke. I really liked the flashbacks to Reid's reactions to the wedding pictures and Winston Mayer's letter.
Thanks a lot! I just thought it was a really funny idea that Noah and Mason would get together but that they'd turn into George and Martha from Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolfe. It was a great prompt idea!
Thank you! I go back and forth about whether Lily would have come to love Reid if the show had continued. She loves her kids and would want them to be happy but it's just tough for me picturing her and Reid as being able to get along.
That is the harshest story by you that I remember reading. But it probably would take something like that for Lily to take off her blinders about Noah.
I totally agree I went darker than usual. It was a short fic but I tried to address how Noah and Mason wouldn't have worked and I wanted to have Reid sticking up for Luke against everyone else so that Lily could contrast how Reid treated Luke and how Noah treated Luke. Which caused it to be about 100% more depressing than most of my stuff.
